Once Upon a Tea Party at Pattycakes...
Tess likes painting her nails, her papers and sometimes the walls. On Mondays, she dances; Thursdays, karate; and this Saturday, she will be a Fairy-tale Princess!
Tess is having an elegant, traditional, Perfectly Princess tea party at Pattycakes! Her mom is thrilled because after she gave the Pattycakes Party Coordinator her guest list, she sat back and sipped a cup of tea herself. Pattycakes created and sent hand-addressed invitations, planned the tea party menu and even wrapped a few gifts that were chosen from Tess’ "Princess Wish List" at the Pattycakes boutique.
Next Saturday morning, Tess and her guests will walk through the Pattycakes Boutique to the double doors where the transformation from reality to fairy tale will take place. Once they arrive, they will begin creating a special momento from our craft cabinet, and one by one the girls will be invited to the dressing table for their princess makeover, ball-gown fitting and adorned with the jewels of their choice. Finally, Tess will be presented with her birthday crown and seated on the Magical Throne. The party will begin!
The tea cottage’s timeless décor creates the perfect setting in which to pretend. Gilded mirrors, crystal chandeliers, antiques, linen tablecloths and fine tea service. Tess and her guests will dine on our complimentary tea fare: scones, fresh fruit and finger sandwiches (including the timeless and ever popular PB&J). The children will sample non-caffeinated teas and yummy lemonade while they learn age-appropriate facts and lore surrounding traditional tea. They will indulge in cupcakes and petits fours as they sing happy birthday to Tess.
Tess and each of her guests will be presented with party photos and a treasure to remind them of their day at Pattycakes Tea Cottage. Tess will receive our signature silver tea set for her very own. On their way home, Tess will fall asleep in the back seat between her worn-out soccer cleats and her shiny new tea set. Tess' mom breathes a sigh of relief, lovingly looks at Tess, and remembers believing in fairy tales.
